Whether in a worship service at one of our church plants, or on the dirty sidewalks of the inner city caring for the severely poor, the Gospel of Jesus Christ accompanies all we do.
Scripture tells us that man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Our pastors faithfully teach the Word of God at every service. This gives hope and peace to the unbeliever and growth to the believer.
While there is emergency medical care in Israel, many times the poorest cannot get the prescriptions that can help them heal or even keep them alive. We come alongside to help them receive the life-giving medicines they need.
The winters in Israel can be very cold and rainy. One of the greatest needs of the poorest in Israel is for adequate clothing such as coats, socks, and warm blankets. Each year we lose some of our homeless to weather exposure. So we do all we can to prepare for the winters.
Many of the poorest in the inner city may have only one hot meal a week. And daily hunger is a problem for many. We set up times and places to provide food to the homeless and grocery assistance to the poorest who may have some shelter.
Rocket attacks from Israel's enemies force citizens to seek the closest shelter. We have provided such a place through the use of portable concrete bomb shelters, A shelter such as the one shown above can provide refuge for several families when the sirens sound.
